Thanksgiving at home

Where exactly is home?  I pondered this question this morning as I prepared a few of my standard Thanksgiving staples such as pumpkin pie and deviled eggs.  I’m in a different house this year and preparations for Thanksgiving have been a little different.  When our son comes home from college this afternoon, he’ll be entering a different home from last year.  It won’t bother him though.  He says that we move… Read More

WFA and David Harding are doing a joint project in Ethiopia testing the feasibility of low cost wells that families can be empowered to make themselves for very little money.  Thanks so much for praying for him!!!  Our ministry’s goal is to train up a bunch of young people like Joe and send them out to partners to do just what… Read More

The calling of the church:  inward or outward?

"A church which pitches its tents without constantly looking out for new horizons, which does not continually strike camp, is being untrue to its calling....[We must] play down our longing for certainity, accept what is risky, live by improvisation and experiment.” Hans Kung Read More

Adopting an Unreached People Group

1 out every 4 people in the world is cut off from the gospel – isolated from the chance to hear about God’s redemptive love. These are the people of World A who have little or no Christian witness. World A is not a geographical concept – but rather includes all people who have never heard the gospel. Alarmingly, only 1 of every 100 Christian missionaries ministers among the people of… Read More
