Rio de Janeiro, Brazil

Don and Angie Finley have eighteen years of missionary experience in Brazil and with an unreached people group in Central Asia.  They currently serve in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil where they train Brazilian Baptist missionaries for outreach at home and around the world.  The global focus of this Brazilian mission movement is ministry among neglected and unreached peoples.  In addition to training long-term missionaries, Don and Angie train groups of Brazilian young people for extended short-term assignments in a cutting-edge paradigm that involves radically incarnational lifestyles in areas where access to the people group requires a high level of creativity and commitment.  Among their supporters are Texas churches:  FBC Amarillo, FBC San Angelo, FBC Corsicana, and Tallowood Baptist Church.

Bangalore, India

Heather was the first person to contact WorldconneX for assistance in January, 2004.  “My name is Heather.  I’m a student at Truett.  I have cerebral palsy.  God is calling me to India.  How can you help?” Heather is a graduate student at Truett Seminary where “God whispered in my ear, India.” Using her undergraduate degree in counseling, Heather spent the summers of 2005 and 2006 serving with proVISION ASIA, a ministry that works with the physically challenged in Bangalore.  Upon graduation from Truett, Heather plans to return to Bangalore to resume her ministry on a full time basis and has asked WorldconneX to help her identify churches interested in supporting her ministry.

imageimageShannon Hopkins
London, UK

Shannon resonated with the idea when she was recently described as a “missions incubator” – a reflection of her engagement with secular culture, especially the creative aspects, and her consistent and continuing desire to both be and live the gospel among her friends.  From Church Planting to creating networks to supporting pioneer missions leaders to projects against human trafficking, Shannon is passionate about seeing the gospel go out to her people, her generation. In a day when the church is declining against population growth and the west is becoming predominately secular and post-Christian she is innovating new ways to see the Gospel go out and the Kingdom come to this present ever-changing culture in the west. Currently she is based in London, England but her ministry is global in scope, she works across Europe and the U.S.
Soul Cafe Kerrville, Wellspring, University Baptist Church Houston, and Union Baptist Association Houston are among her supporters.

France

The Marshalls envision reaching the diversity of France by planting a multiethnic / multicultural church. This church would embrace diversity of people and culture for the goal of glorifying God by producing followers of Jesus Christ.
Our world has become more globalized, our neighborhoods are changing. There is a unique opportunity in larger cities worldwide to start churches that are not made up of one ethnic group, but rather many of them.
