The ABC’s of Moving From Missions Activity to Strategic Impact

Missiologists have divided the 6.6 billion people in the world into three groups naming them World A, World B and World CWorld A represents the 1.9 billion people in the world who have never heard of Jesus. World B represents the 2.5 billion who have heard of Jesus and remain non-Christian. World C represents the 2.2 billion followers of Jesus. Guess where the church spends most of her resources (time, money and people)?

The answer is World C. Out of each dollar spent by the church, 94.5 cents is spent on World C (ourselves), 5 cents is spent on World B (they have access to the Good News) and ½ cent is spent on World A (they don’t know a Christian, there is not a church to attend and they have never heard of Jesus). Eight out of every ten missionaries are sent to Worlds B and C leaving 2 to work with the ½ cent in World A. And we spend most of our time planning activities for those in Worlds B and C with very little time praying and strategizing regarding impacting World A. If we believe that Matthew 24:14 is true, then we need to do something different.

WorldconneX can help you discover how God has uniquely designed your church (located in World C) to impact Worlds A and B in a significant way. Schedule an Inside Out Weekend and a WorldconneX facilitator will help you identify the resources that God has placed inside your church membership for His Kingdom purposes. At the Inside Out Weekend event WorldconneX helps your membership to realize that before you can turn the world upside down, you have to start thinking from the inside out. With globalization and revolutions in travel and communications it’s easier today for your membership to use their skills, gifts and passions to connect to the world and make an impact for Christ. The Friday evening kick-off banquet is very interactive and will move your church to a new level of understanding regarding God’s heart for the world and His plan to use each person to bring worship to Himself from every tongue, tribe and nation. During the Inside Out Weekend Saturday morning leadership lab, your facilitator will also meet with your leadership team to clarify your church’s calling, identify its strengths and hone in on its vision for missions. On Sunday, your church will celebrate, praising God for His goodness and each member will be called to commit to being used for His glory. See a previous e-newsletter for more details about the WorldconneX Inside Out Weekend.

Once the Inside Out Weekend process has helped you to discover what your church has that Worlds A and B need, your church can take it from there to wherever God leads. Need more help with resources to train and equip your body? Not sure how to move forward with the new things you have learned about your church and the world? You don’t need to do it alone! WorldconneX can assign you a missions coach to walk alongside your church as you set a strategy that leverages your church’s uniqueness. That’s doing missions from the inside out!

WorldconneX is uniquely resourced and equipped to work with churches large and small. Urban and rural.  All ethnicities. We understand that no two churches are alike. So, go ahead and take the first step. Contact us. We are currently scheduling Inside Out Weekends for 2008.
